PDC Drill Bits

Targin designs and manufactures its own drill bits– PDC Tarbit™. To deliver premium performance of the drill bits, the engineering process is carried out with 3D modeling design and finite element analysis based on mathematic modeling of blade-rock interaction with drill bit hydraulics calculations.

Targin Tarbit™ drill bits are manufactured using advanced turning and milling equipment. Modern CNC production centers guarantee accuracy essential for reliable and effective PDC drill bits. 3D model is transferred to 5-axis machining center minimizing production time and maximizing accuracy. Our cutters combine high resistance to wear and shock ensuring exceptional drill bit run.

Project and manufacturing stages

1. In the initial stage, we collect geological data, equipment specifications, etc.; that is an integral part of initial design and redesign if required.

2. Engineers study the data of rock properties and drilling conditions. As a result, drill bits are designed to maximize speed, durability and shock resistance.

3. Drill bit design becomes a product using a CNC machine.

4. Drill bit has finished shape. Drilling operations data become input data for further design upgrade.

Planned drill bits maintenance

Planned maintenance of PDC bits for the operating lifecycle allows to minimize customer expenses. As a result, you achieve a longer PDC bit run-life with an option of refurbishment and upgrade.

Targin offers expert review and technical audit of the drill bit condition and estimate of further use. Up to 10 repairs are possible with refurbishing original quality and technical characteristics, and an option of modernizing worked out drill bits by replacing of spare parts to enhance performance. Refurbished bit delivers the same quality performance as a brand new one.

Targin refurbishes drill bits of other manufacturers, and exclusively offers matrix body bits repair.
